Provi Announces Third Quarter Data Report Examining Progress of Non-Alcohol, Low-Alcohol, Sustainable, Organic and Minority-Owned Products
CHICAGO, October 11, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Provided, the largest online marketplace for the alcoholic beverage industry, today launched its quarterly Provi Pulse report that puts into context the changing purchasing trends of on- and off-premise alcoholic beverage retailers around consumption conscious. The report revealed that the industry is seeing the effects of increasing demand from society-conscious consumers for products related to no and low alcohol, sustainability and organic. Additionally, the report looked at the movements of tall women and minority-owned brands.
The latest Provi Pulse report, which examines purchase data from onsite and offsite shoppers in the Provi Marketplace in Q3 2022, highlights the top-selling brands in beer, wine and spirits, across each conscious consumption trend. The report shows that Heineken 0.0 holds the market share in the alcohol-free brand category. In the non-spirits and non-wine segments, Provi Pulse said Seedlip Garden 108 and Töst Non-Alcoholic Sparkling were the top-selling brands, respectively, last quarter.
In the sustainable spirits segment, Provi reports that Patron Silver was the top-selling product and Tequila Ocho Plata was the fastest growing last quarter. The Provi Pulse report also revealed that nearly 75% of organic product lines ordered on its marketplace this year were in the past three months, pointing to top-selling organic brands like Dom Perignon Brut (wine), Head HazDogfishy-O! (beer) and Empress 1908 Gin (spirits). With strong demand for minority-owned products coupled with a greater focus on diversity in the alcohol industry, more minority-owned brands are standing out among professional shoppers. Market data from Provi shows Uncle Nearest was the fastest growing minority-owned spirits and Odell Brewing was the fastest growing minority-owned beer in the third quarter.
Provi’s quarterly report also highlights the efforts of supplier companies investing in social initiatives, particularly in the area of sustainability and diversity. Programs such as Molson Coors globally by investing $85 million in Constellation Brands’ sustainability efforts and commitment $100 million in Black, Latino and minority-owned businesses, are integral to propelling innovation in these key areas.
