A 53-year-old bar-restaurant owner has accused his son and nephew of having him admitted to a drug treatment center for more than three years to take back his property.

Based on Monday’s complaint, police registered a case of criminal intimidation and forcible confinement against the son and his cousin.

The victim, Narayanaswamy K., said he owned a bar and restaurant as well as a house he rented. He said he became an alcoholic after separating from his wife.

Mr Narayanaswamy alleged that his son Yeshwanthkumar and nephew Chethan Babu forcibly admitted him to a drug treatment center and bribed staff to torture him for three years.

However, he returned home after being released to find that his son had regained possession of his house and the bar and restaurant.

When Mr Narayanaswamy confronted the dup, they allegedly assaulted him and threatened dire consequences if he bothered them again.
