Dave Coulier receives support from Full House co-stars after speaking out about alcoholism

David Coulier receives an outpouring of support from him Full house co-stars after sharing his struggles with alcoholism.

At instagram On Tuesday, the actor celebrated two years of sobriety by sharing his lowest moment ever, posting a selfie of his bloodied face after slipping on stone steps on a drunken night out. “I was drunk. Yes. An alcoholic. I have been alcohol-free since January 1, 2020,” the caption Coulier began. “When I was drinking, I was the life of the party. I could make people laugh until they fell. In this photo, it was me who fell. Not because I was playing hockey or that I was doing the things I love – like chopping wood or doing construction, playing golf, fishing or flying planes. I was hammered and fell while climbing stone stairs. like me having a “beer with the boys” after playing hockey or a game of golf. I was always the “final final” guy in the room.

However, he continued: “The 8 hours of drinking, laughing and funny stupidity was followed by two days of feeling like a bowl of dog poop. I loved alcohol, but he didn’t love me back. I decided to make a decision for my own well-being, my family and for those around me whom I love so much. The mental and physical withdrawal were big challenges for me, but I was supported by @melissacoulier and friends who had made the trip before. The psychological and physical transformation has been incredible. The sky is bluer, my heart is no longer closed, and I love making people laugh until they drop more than ever. Thank you, Melissa, for being by my side. I love you.”

Following this heartfelt confession, the comments section of Coulier’s post was flooded with kind words from fans, friends and a number of his former colleagues. Companion Full house Star John Stamos wrote “Proud of you my brother!”, while Scott Weinger left a string of cheering emojis and a red heart.
