NDMC to spend Rs 5.6 crore on sewer rehabilitation – The New Indian Express

NEW DELHI: The New Delhi City Council (NDMC) on Wednesday sanctioned 5.57 crores for the rehabilitation of the old sewer line from Telegraph Lane to Kasturba Gandhi Marg via Madhav Rao Scindia Marg, officials said .

The proposal was approved at the civic body’s council meeting “Council granted approval for the works to rehabilitate the old sewer line using the Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) method from Telegraph Lane to Kasturba Gandhi Marg via Madhav Rao Scindia Marg with permission to divide the work into two parts.To this end the board has granted the sanction of 5.57 crores,” said NDMC Deputy Chairman Satish Upadhyay.

“NDMC’s motive behind this development initiative is to beautify the area under its jurisdiction and achieve 7-star rating in the upcoming Swacchta Survekshan, 2022,” he added. The Council has also approved that the residential land rates of RK Puram and Moti Bagh be adopted for the purpose of calculating damages charges, with respect to apartments located in the Sarojini Nagar market. Upadhyay said the civic body has already received representations from market traders’ associations on this issue.
