The director and the director of the facility were arrested in connection with the case, police said.

The case came to light when four detox inmates locked director Vibha Singh in her room and told police about their ordeal on Friday, an official said.

Vidyadutt Raturi, the director of the rehab, allegedly raped the inmates for months after drugging them in collusion with the director. Inmates who opposed were beaten with sticks or made to sit on sharp stools or broken bricks for hours as punishment, the official said.
