In its recent opinion, the Rajasthan Council of School Education suggests technical points that are useful for monitoring children’s activities and involvement in games.

Parents and teachers have been asked to monitor whether children behave differently than usual and are mainly involved in online activities, suddenly spend more time online, especially on social media, and become aggressive after using the Internet. .

The Rajasthan government notice advised parents to establish an “Internet gateway” at home that will help monitor their child’s Internet usage effectively. The document also suggests that it is necessary to ensure that the child accesses the Internet from a computer placed in the family space.

“In the age of technology, online games are very popular with children. The closure of schools due to the coronavirus pandemic has increased the use of mobile and internet among children, which has also led to a rapid increase in the trend of online games among children. “said Sana Siddiqui, deputy commissioner of the council.

She said these online games are easily accessible to children and are played on devices such as computers, tablets and mobiles connected to the internet.

“These games are designed in such a way as to excite the player to the point of the passion to play more. This is the reason why gamers become addicted to them and end up suffering from gambling disorders due to which the educational and social life of the player. ‘child is adversely affected,’ Siddiqui said.
