When a State Soldier arrested Cody Jay Alexander near Little League Boulevard and Pine Streets in the city at around 7:40 p.m. on May 29, he detected a “Strong smell of alcoholic drink” from the man’s SUV, according to an affidavit. Alexander’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy, ââpolice said.
Alexander, who turned 29 on Tuesday, admitted to consuming three alcoholic drinks, police said. He also has “Obvious signs of impairment” while undergoing a series of field sobriety tests, court records said. Charged with impaired driving, Alexander, of 641 Cherry St., has waived his preliminary inquiry in Biichle and is released on $ 5,000 bail.
In another case, when a city police officer arrived at the scene of the crash in which Desiree Fraboni struck two cars parked with her 2005 Chevrolet Equinox in the 2200 block of West Third Street at around 1:10 a.m. , the 38-year-old admitted she was from a bar, according to an affidavit to Frey’s office.
âI could smell an alcoholic drink on his breath. She also had speech problems â, the officer said in the court document.
Fraboni, of 912 Wayne Ave., had a blood alcohol level of 0.20 and was charged with drunk driving, police said. She received a subpoena to appear in front of Frey.
